We want to integrate EHVS members

The International Committee’s goal is to integrate EHVS members with the rest of the world, both through our international students at Linnaeus University in Växjö and through the Swedish students studying on exchange terms at international universities. Every year approximately 450 new international students arrive at our university and we’re actively working towards a better communication between them and the local students. We are also working with VIS (Växjö International Students) to promote The Buddy program; the purpose of the program is to match a Swedish student with an international one to make sure that these new students already have a contact in Sweden before the arrival and thus get a great start at Linnaeus University.

One of our main goals is to inspire our Swedish students to study abroad, show the opportunities the world can bring and what privileges international experiences provide for one’s future. The faculty of business and economics in Växjö offers 400 different partner universities from around the world. 

We are the only committee within EHVS that organizes sittings and whilst not being a PU-committee and all of our event are held in English. Besides the sittings, we organize an annual lecture about exchange studies. In our white hoodies and pink shirts we show EHVS members that you don’t have to choose between studies and partying, you can actually have both.

The sittings include a Halloween Sitting every autumn where decoration and costumes are a focal point and every spring The Secret Wedding offers a three-course dinner and surprising activities. The events are aimed at both international and Swedish students.

Our committee is also the only one that admits international students to apply and all our meetings are held in English which is a great opportunity to improve your English language and learn about different cultures.
